WATERLOGGED
BREATH CONTROL AND
OCEAN CONFIDENCE COURSE
ADULTS AND TEENS 14+
The Waterlogged Breath Control and Ocean Confidence Course is a one-day course that teaches basic freediving and breath control techniques that will increase comfort and confidence in the water. We also cover basic, everyday breathing techniques that help you manage stress, increase athletic performance and improve your life in general.
During a dryland and a pool session, you will learn skills that will keep you safer in the water, increase underwater efficiency, manage hold downs more easily, and will help you stay calm and relaxed during intimidating situations.
For groms as young as 5, and for parents who would like to take the course with their child, we have the Parent/Grom course. This is the same basic course as our other courses, with a few changes to accommodate all ages (as well as kids who might be a little bit nervous), and is a great family activity.

DURING THIS COURSE, YOU WILL…
learn freediving basics
We start the course with an introduction to basic freediving techniques. By learning how each individuals body responds to a breath hold, your grom will be better prepared to handle breath holds in less predictable, more intimidating situations.
practice basic rescue techniques
The Ocean can be unpredictable. By learning basic rescue techniques, your child will gain confidence in knowing what to do if something happens to go wrong.
experience real life scenarios
Now that your child has learned techniques to help maximize their breath hold, the next step is to put those techniques to by simulating real world scenarios including: unexpected breath holds, staying calm and relaxed in intimidating situations, leash releases and more.
