Up until this point, my summer has been a crazy one. When I left Hawaii in mid-June, I had every intention of blogging on a consistent basis, complete with delusions of posting photos from each of the places that I was set to go. Now that I am back in Hawaii, I have very little to show for all of the places that I have been over the past few weeks, except for a few images of things that I found particularly special and/or entertaining. So, without further delay, and in no particular order, here goes…
Boat days with my dad.
My dad has a 30-something foot Tiare, a fishing boat called No Bananas. I never really got into the fishing thing, but going on the boat with my dad is one of my favorite things to do. My dad has this innate ability to read the water and know exactly what is going on. It doesn’t take long at all for him to find a pod of dolphins, or blue whales, or school of Mola Molas, or whatever, really. He prides himself on his ability to find the things that I can’t, and he never hesitates to let me know when he has found something cool. I am actually not sure how he does it.
Anyway, here are some photos from several successful whale and dolphin watching sessions this summer with my dad…
