FUNCTIONAL BREATHING FOR PADDLE ATHLETES

Our Functional Breathing for Paddle Athletes Course is a 6 hour course that teaches breath control techniques aimed to maximize performance, increase confidence in the water and build tolerance to Carbon Dioxide.  

During a two hour dryland session and a separate open water session we cover skills that help prepare for and recover from a race or training, as well as functional breathing patterns that help reduce stress and anxiety and maximize performance.

This course will cover:

*Intro to Carbon Dioxide tolerance training
*Improving sleep and managing stress & anxiety
*Building water confidence in stressful situations
*Maximizing preparation and recovery from training and races

NOT SURE IF THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU?

Although the drills covered in this course were designed with paddle training and racing in mind, you don’t have to be an experienced paddler to benefit from this course.  The techniques learned here benefit paddle athletes of all levels and can even help improve your everyday stress response if you are not necessarily an athlete.

Learning to tolerate Carbon Dioxide has many physical and mental benefits, including:
